Day 2 - Caracol and Highlights of the Mountain Pine Ridge - (B,L,D) Today is a fabulous tour to the Mayan Temples of Caracol and also the highlights of the Mountain Pine Ridge area. 35 miles from the Inn, deep in the Chiquibul Wilderness lies one of the largest sites of the Ancient Mayan world with over 4000 structures spread over 55 square miles. Cloaked in a jungle shroud, it is difficult to appreciate the extent of this mighty city. Excavation to date has revealed amongst others the towering temple of Caana (the Sky Palace), Belize's tallest manmade structure. The view from the top over the pristine jungle is breathtaking. Trails have been cut through the surrounding jungle for those interested in observing the wealth of fauna, flora and birdlife that inhabit the area. Day 3 - Mysteries of the Underworld - (B,L,D) Today you are in for a real treat! An adventurous drive towards the Amish community of Upper Barton Creek where your guide will row you deep inside Barton Creek Cave (about 1 to 2 miles depending on water levels). Sit back, relax and direct your 1,000 candle lamp at the amazing formations inside the huge cave believed by the Maya to be the Underworld, "Xibalba", (pronounced SheeBALba) the Kingdom of their Gods. Float under stalagtites, see ancient skeletons and pottery and prepare to be awstruck by cathedral-like caverns. Marvel at the 5 million year old crystalline structures over 50 feet in length as your knowledgable guide explains the Maya's beliefs about the underworld. An interesting stop will be made to visit the beautiful butterfly display at the Green Hills Tropical Butterfly Farm and Botanical Collection.This butterfly farm boasts the biggest live butterfly collection in Belize. Flocks of butterflies, from brilliant blue to gorgeous orange, dazzling yellow to intriguing gray, fly freely in a 2,700 sq. ft., beautifully landscaped flight area including the sunken garden with a goldfish pond. Return to the Lodge for lunch and the afternoon is free to relax, perhaps have a cold beer, laze in a hammock. If you are feeling energetic there are lots of optional activites available including Horseback Riding, Canoeing, Nature Walks, Mountain Biking etc.

Day 4 - Your very own secret waterfall - (B,L,D) Today we have arranged for you to have your own private waterfall and natural swimming pool for the day including lunch. For your comfort there is a screened Palapa equiped with hammocks, a table and comfortable chairs. There is even a flush toilet!. Tubes are provided for you to float around in the pool and downstream. A kayak is based at the top of the falls for you to explore up-river. Or just relax and enjoy each other's company in paradise!

Day 5 - Tikal, Guatemala - (B,L,D) An exciting 3 day / 2 night tour to the most fabulous Mayan site of all - Tikal in Guatemala. Hidden for 1,000 years in the midst of rainforests teeming with wildlife is this enormous ceremonial city with magnificent Temples and Pyramids   built by the mysterious Mayan people. After checking into the Jungle Lodge Hotel, situated right within the National Park, you will then be taken on a guided tour of the main temples and also have time to explore on your own. Imagine the ceremonies where human sacrifices were offered to the Gods. Listen carefully and you will hear the still-beating heart of a dying Civilisation . . . Day 6 - Flores, Guatemala - (B,L) After breakfast you will be driven to the lovely island of Flores on Lake Peten Itza. There will be time to explore the tiny shops for Guatemalan goodies before enjoying a delicious lunch on the shores of the lagoon and a relaxing afternoon boat ride on Lake Peten Itza. Overnight at the La Casona de la Isla Hotel on the island of Flores. We have not included Dinner tonight so that you are free to eat at the island restaurant of your choice.

Day 7 - Time for some Rest & Relaxation! - (B) You will be transferred after breakfast to the airport at Flores for the morning flight to Belize City. Connect with a short (15 minute) air taxi with spectacular aeriel views of the Belize Barrier Reef en route to San Pedro on the lovely island of Ambergris Caye - made famous by Madonna in her song "La Isla Bonita" - "The Beautiful Island". Relax and unwind during your 3, 5 or 7 night stay at the hotel of your choice in San Pedro which is laid-back and friendly. Enjoy a Belikin Beer in any number of beachfront hang-outs and thatched roof bars or a gourmet dinner in a first class restaurant. As there are so many excellent restaurants on the island to choose from we have not included meals for this portion of the tour.

Do it all or do nothing at all on this sun-drenched island where even the palm trees sway to the beat of Punta Rock and Reggae music! SCUBA DIVERS: There is a whole range of diving packages available from a few days of local diving to a complete dive package. See the rates information below. You can even do a fabulous Overnight Trip that includes the Turneffe Islands, Lighthouse Reef and Jacques Cousteau's World famous BLUE HOLE! There are basic on board cabin facilities for the overnight stay but most people opt for camping on idyllic Half Moon Caye (all gear supplied) or you can sleep out on deck under the moonlight! Romantic setting - basic amenities - magical experience!

Day 10 / 14 - Departure - Unfortunately it is time to go home! We will transfer you back to the San Pedro Airstrip for the short flight to Belize International Airport in plenty of time to check in for your homebound flight.
