Day 1 - Arrival in Belize - "Jungle Spa" - (D)
You will be met at Belize International Airport on arrival
and transferred to the fabulous Maruba Jungle Spa Resort,
hidden in the Belizean rainforest where you will be greeted with a Welcome cocktail.
Relax and unwind during your three night stay. Accommodations are comfortable and creative. Each room and cabana is decorated differently and set amidst the pineapple fields, coconut palms and nearby bird watching areas. Maruba can accommodate no more than thirty five guests at a time which ensures privacy and exclusive individual care. Restore your body, your mind and your soul. The lovely Jungle Falls swimming pool will cool you in the day and the Japanese tub will make evening star-gazing an unforgettable experience. |

Day 2 - On Safari Maruba Style: Lamanai - (B,L,D)
Maruba’s trip to Lamanai (ancient Mayan Temple of the
God of the Submerged Crocodile) is a fascinating, mind blowing experience
made even more exotic by the Maruba touch.
The trip begins with a short drive down the Old Northern Highway to the New River Lagoon, Belize’s biggest lake. At Lamanai, view ceremonial sites that the Mayans used from 1500 B.C. to at least A.D. 1650, the longest occupied Mayan site ever. Lunch is simply a treat, served on the edge of the Lagoon shimmering sienna in the heat. Marvel at the pyramids that sit on a hill and still soar above the jungle with howler monkeys, black as soot, swinging in the trees overhead. Your day will be well spent touring with Maruba’s capable and knowledgeable guide. |

Day 3 - Mayan Ruins or Jungle Riding - (B,L,D)
This morning your can choose to visit the nearby Mayan Temples at Altun Ha. This site was important as a trading center for the Mayan people, and even in today's skyscraper age the size and solidity of some of the temples you'll see are impressive. Your highly experienced guide will fill you in on the gory details of sacrifices and wars and random bloodlettings that the Mayans sometimes delighted in. 
Alternatively, if you prefer, enjoy a jungle horseback ride. The afternoon is free to relax and unwind, perhaps enjoy a cooling swim in the exotic jungle swimming pool. |
Day 4 - Posh Pampering in Paradise! - (B,L,D)
Time for some pampering...
Maruba has full spa facilities and today you will sample rejuvenating treatments to ensure you are able to make the most of this fabulous tour. Choice of two spa treatments (including a wide range of body massages, herbal wraps, facials, manicure, pedicure etc). |

Day 7 - Barrier Reef Bliss!
After breakfast you will transfer by road back to Belize City from where you will take a short commuter flight to San Pedro on the lovely island of Ambergris Caye - made famous by Madonna in her song "La Isla Bonita" - "The Beautiful Island". |

Day 10 - San Pedro - Airport
It will be very difficult to leave, but today you must pack your bags as it is time to go home. Transfer back to the International Airport to meet your return flight connections. You will have wonderful memories, colourful photographs and many exciting stories to tell. |
