Coco Plum Island Resort is a newly constructed resort built by local carpenters under the supervision of the resort's owners, a Belizean and American couple. They are experienced in managing a small island resort. They are avid water lovers who enjoy snorkeling, diving, kayaking, and fishing. They appreciate the natural, pristine environment of Coco Plum Caye and wish to share this beautiful island with others.

It is also the ideal destination for those travelers wishing to experience both Belize's beautiful, pristine sea life and its' unspoiled inland adventure sites.

Coco Plum Island Resort is perfect for both outdoor enthusiasts as well as for those who wish to simply kick off their shoes and relax in a hammock that is gently swaying in the Caribbean breeze while listening to the soothing sounds of the sea.

We offer relaxation packages that include transfers to and from Dangriga and the caye, three meals a day, and snorkeling and kayaking excursions. Diving and fishing packages can also be arranged with experienced, professional guides. Since Coco Plum Island Resort is only a 20-minute boat ride from the coastal town of Dangriga, adventure packages can also be arranged, offering guests the opportunity to explore inland areas of Belize.

Coco Plum Island Resort offers its guests spacious, comfortable ocean front cabanas each equipped with private bath, hot water in the shower, ceiling fan, and air conditioning.

Our bar and restaurant facilities are located at the northern edge of the island under a 40-foot thatch built by local Mayan artisans.

The large open area of the thatch features comfortable lounge chairs locally constructed of various types of indigenous hard woods.

This spot is perfect for relaxing in the evening sipping a tropical drink or a locally brewed beer after a day's adventure in the sea.

This area offers breath-taking views of the coast of Belize and the beautiful Maya Mountains over which the sun sets; nearby Bird's Caye, home to several species of birds; and of the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea.

Coco Plum Island Resort is ideal for the outdoor enthusiast. Activities include:

• Snorkeling: the waters surrounding the island are great for snorkeling. Snorkeling tours can also be arranged to nearby patch reefs, mangrove habitats, spectacular drop-offs along the barrier reef, along the calmer inside edge of the barrier reef, and to nearby Man-Of-War Caye
• SCUBA diving: located only minutes away from the island, dive along the second longest barrier reef in the world, inside the reef, to shark's cave, and the three atolls
• Fishing: fly-fish for bonefish permit, tarpon, and snook; spin with medium tackle (trolling) for barracuda, mackerel, wahoo, grouper, and cobia; or drop fish using light tackle for snappers and jack
• Birding at nearby Man-of-War Caye: located a stone's throw away from Coco Plum Caye, it is home to a variety of indigenous bird species, including brown booby birds and the magnificent frigate birds
• Kayaking: the calm, shallow, clear waters surrounding the island are ideal for all levels of kayaking.
  
  Kayak around the island, along the lagoon, to nearby Man-Of-War Caye, do a little island hopping (there are several islands within a mile of the island), or visit the barrier reef
• Inland Tours: Coco Plum Island Resort is only a 20-minute boat ride from the coastal town of Dangriga, from which you can travel to a number of inland spots, such as the Blue Hole National Park, Jaguar Reserve, Mayan ruins, river cave tubing, and the Belize Zoo. You may also choose to tour Dangriga, considered the "culture capital" of Belize.
