This wonderful tour combines relaxation with fascinating cultures, exotic creatures and idyllic cayes. Starts with 3 nights in Northern Belize close to the Mexican border, followed by a 3 night stay in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye and works its way slowly southwards down the Caribbean Coast.

Enjoy a unique experience when you spend a day in a Mayan Village; sail down the rivers and lagoons to Gales Point - home to Manatees and Turtles and end with a stay in the perfect beach paradise of southern Belize for more sea, sun, and fun.

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN BELIZE - (D)

Meet and Greet" on arrival in Belize and transfer up the Northern Highway to Corozal situated on the Carribean Coast, close to the Mexican border.

Three night stay at the Tonys Inn Beach Resort, a comfortable and charming inn, conveniently situated on the south end of picturesque Corozal Town overlooking the Bay of Corozal, in Belize's northernmost district close to the Mexican Border.

DAY 2 - THE MAYAN EXPERIENCE - (B,L,D)

Step back in time on a 6 day tour where you will not only visit the Temples and Pyramids built by the mysterious Mayan people but also have the chance to visit a Mayan Village and experience life as the Maya used to live it - and still do! See and experience the private side of Belize when you spend part of a day living as the Maya live here and now. A house full of people from many generations is common in Belize and you will become one of the family, cooking, listening to legends and living in the ways learned from the ancestors. Also included is a visit to a Mayan bush doctor and his herbal garden to discover nature's way of healing and staying healthy.


DAY 3 - MEXICAN MAGIC! - (B,L,D)
Step back in time on a 6 day tour where you will not only visit the Temples and Pyramids built by the mysterious Mayan people but also have the chance to visit a Mayan Village and experience life as the Maya used to live it - and still do!
After breakfast cross over the border to the bustling Mexican City of Chetumal, home to the wonderful hands-on Museum of Maya Culture.

Walk through the local market and experience the sights, smells and sounds and prepare yourself for a real Mexican meal. There will be time for shopping before returning to Corozal.

DAY 4 - BARRIER REEF BLISS! - (B)

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Corozal airstrip for the short (20 minute) flight to San Pedro on the lovely island of Ambergris Caye - made famous by Madonna in her song "La Isla Bonita" - "The Beautiful Island". Enjoy spectacular aeriel views of the Belize Barrier Reef on the way.

Relax and unwind during your 3 night stay in San Pedro which is laid-back and friendly. Choose from the following hotels:
We have not included meals in San Pedro so that you have the freedom to choose from the many excellent island restaurants. Enjoy a Belikin Beer in any number of beachfront hang-outs and thatched roof bars or a gourmet dinner in a first class restaurant.

Do it all or do nothing at all on this sun-drenched island where even the palm trees sway to the beat of Punta Rock and Reggae music!

DAY 7 - TRAVEL BACK IN TIME! - (B,L,D)

After breakfast you will transfer back to Belize City (15 minutes) from where you will "Travel Back in Time" by boat through the inland waterways of Belize. Cruise down the Belize River then cut into the main down Burden Canal through "mangrove cathedrals" across the Northern Lagoon to the Southern Lagoon where Manatee Lodge awaits. Stop at Birds Caye, a roosting ground for large water birds. This is a not to miss trip- gorgeous- that takes 1½ - 2 hrs. This unique opportunity offers amazing scenery The playful Dolphin, gentle Manatee, pre-historic Crocodile and hundreds of birds will provide escort and remind you that you are sharing their world now. 2 night stay at Manatee Lodge which offers the peaceful serenity of the Caribbean Sea plus the adventure of an ecological paradise.


DAY 8 - MANATEE WATCH & GALES POINT VILLAGE - (B,L,D)

This day of discovery starts in the Southern Lagoon which is home to the largest population of Manatee in the Caribbean. Natural underwater springs provide the perfect environment for feeding, breeding and rearing of young. Herds of 6 or more are quite common and frequently are seen in the river and around the sand bar. Although the Manatee are quite docile and somewhat bashful, we discourage actually going in to swim with them.

Next is a walk-about and lunch in Gales Point. You will be enthralled with the lifestyle of one of the many cultures found in Belize. Descendants of early African slaves and the original British settlers, the local 'Creole' revel in their enthusiasm to share stories, arts, and crafts of their very colorful heritage. Primarily a fishing and farming village, visitors are warmly welcomed and encouraged to join in a variety of activities.

DAY 9 - DANGRIGA CULTURE AND SHOPPING - (B,L,D)

A 45 minute cruise down the coastline to the predominantly Garifuna (descendants of African slave and Carib Indian) settlement town of Dangriga, also known as Stann Creek.

You'll discover another distinctive blend of cultures as you visit the shops of drum makers and a variety of unusual arts and crafts.

Perfect Paradise in Southern Belize

Late afternoon you will be transferred southwards to the beach paradise of   Hopkins Village.

3 night stay at the delightful Hamanasi Beach Resort nestled between the lush Maya Mountains and the turquoise Caribbean Sea. Hamanasi is a special place from which you can explore the best of Belize on and offshore.

Located just south of Hopkins, Hamanasi has 17 acres of land with 400 feet of Caribbean Sea beachfront surrounded by sub-tropical flora on the finest stretch of beach in Belize.

Offshore is a wilderness of coral-studded cayes whilst the mainland offers jungle rivers, pristine rainforest, Garifuna, Creole and Mayan cultures, and ancient Mayan ruins making this the ideal location for the adventurous traveler. The only jaguar reserve in the World, Cockscomb Basin, makes an ideal day excurions.

Southern Belize is still relatively undeveloped, making it a paradise for the nature lover. Snorkel and dive the uncrowded, pristine reef, fish the rivers, flats, lagoons and the open sea.

Continental Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are included daily at Hamanasi.

DAY 12 - DEPARTURE

Unfortunately it is time to go home! You will be transferred to the Dangriga airstrip for the short flight back to Belize International.

If you have a little more time, longer stays can easily be arranged. All our tours can be customised to your own requirements.
