NICARAGUA
TWO OCEANS ADVENTURE TOUR

Global Travel Club specialises in fascinating adventure tours and scuba diving in exotic locations in Latin America. Belize, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama

Enjoy two warm Oceans teeming with Marine Life.
Combine Nicargua's time-warped, reef ringed Corn Islands set in the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Caribbean with the luxurious Montelimar Resort, overlooking the deep blue Pacific Ocean.

Day 1 - Arrive Managua

Meet & Greet on arrival in Nicaragaua at the Managua International Airport and transfer the short distance to the Hotel Las Mercedes, for an overnight stay.

The hotel offers air-conditioned rooms set amid beautiful tropical gardens. With restaurants, bar, two swimming pools, floodlit tennis and volleyball courts, this is the ideal overnight hotel for those heading out again early next morning.

Day 2 - Managua - Big Corn Island

After breakfast it is back to the airport for the 50 minute flight that is like a journey back 50 years in time. The unspoilt Caribbean of yesterday whose tranquil, gentle people who go about their lives with no desire to sell anything to you - a warm hello will suffice.

The music is reggae, the language is English and the pace of life is peaceful.

No mega resorts, no fancy restaurants (but plenty of excellent seafood, fresh lobster and coconut bread).

Clear warm turquoise waters, pristine coral reefs and white sandy beaches fringed with coconut palms.

Big Corn Island has a few old jeeps on dirt roads and only one telephone. 5 night stay at the ocean-front Bayside Hotel overlooking Little Corn Island. Accommodations are simple yet clean and comfortable. (Full Board)

Day 7 - Corn Islands - Managua - Montelimar

After breakfast you will take the first flight to Managua where you will be met at the airport for the transfer to Playa Montelimar an all-inclusive resort for a 7 night stay. All meals, domesic drinks (including alcohol), entertainment and non-motorised water sports included.

Once the favourite property of ex-Dictator Samoza in his hey day this luxurious Villa, made of Italian marble and precious woods stood proudly on a cliff overlooking a massive sandy, private beach and the deep blue Pacific.

The Sandinistas brought in Italian architects to transform this slice of paradise into a place accessible to the common man.

The Villa became a casino and restaurant and along the beach little bungalows were built in a first class manner to complement the Villa.

Central America's largest swimming pool was put in as well. The bungalows were connected by little paths underneath massive palm trees. Along the beach another restaurant was built and another bar further down. The 2 miles of private sand were lined with coconut palms and almond trees and hammocks were strung up underneath them. Playa Montelimar Beach Resort and Casino was born.

Montelimar somehow manages to be a luxury resort without selling its soul. The atmosphere is still Nicaraguan - friendly, peaceful and unpretentious - luxury at its most natural.

Day 14 - Montelimar - Managua Airport

Transfer to Managua Airport for your homebound flights.
