The Blue Hole and Barrier Reef Tour

The Barrier Reef and Blue Hole are considered to be some of the most awe-inspiring views in the Caribbean.

Belize boasts the second largest reef in the world and the Blue Hole made famous by world renown Jacques Cousteau. There are only four atolls in the entire Atlantic Ocean and three of these magnificent formations are located within the Belize Coastline.

The spectacular circle of the Blue Hole is nearly 1000 feet in diameter, 400 feet deep and contains a cavern of the largest underwater stalactities found. The Blue Hole is located at Lighthouse Reef, one of Belize's three coral atolls.

All this and more are included in your panoramic view aboard a specially equipped Cessna Caravan, a high wing airplane operated by Tropic Air.

The aerial trip begins with "Take Off" from San Pedro, Ambergris Caye and flies over these major atolls, cayes, the Barrier Reef and a view of the Belize mainland including Belize City.

The one hour flight has a lively narrated tape giving the history of the various formations, marine and geographic descriptions and is an educational experience.
