Marine Park
All the beautiful waters around Bonaire are designated as a Marine Park. The fact that anchoring, spearfishing, touching the corals, and removing anything from the reef is prohibited helps to keep the reefs healthy for you to enjoy. A $ 10 US fee allows access to the Marine Park for the calendar year as well as permission aboard diveboats for snorkellers and non-divers.

Per island policy, all Bonaire Dive Operators require anyone who has not been to Bonaire within one year to attend a brief orientation at 9 am their first day. No diving is permitted on the day of arrival and departure. If you arrive early in the afternoon, staffing permitting, an orientation will be provided for you so that you may dive that afternoon. However, there will be an additional charge for shore diving since your dive package does not include diving on the day of arrival.
